Be sure to catch controversial theater and film critic Milan Paurich in his local directorial debut at the Oakland this month! David Mamet's 1988 Tony-nominated drama weaves his satirical take on the Hollywood film industry. This is a phenomenal cast: John Cox, Candy DiLullo, and David El'Hatton. Even watching them read from the script is magical. I can't wait to see what they bring to the stage. All of them are acclaimed actors with multiple Marquee and Arthur awards under their belt. I believe all three also have directorial experience under their belts, so for a first time director, they must be quite a handful!
Even though Speed-the-Plow is not a Halloween show, we have a suuuper creepy gallery planned in the Star Gallery. Nea Bristol will be displaying some of her work, which is a treat since she's on hiatus from shooting for the time being.
And check out the awesome poster Katie Maillis designed for the show:

Don't miss this show! It's a short one - about 90 minutes - an roughly the same as the price of a night at the movies!
